Will it take something on the scale on the Great Depression for Americans to dump the Republicans?

I know the GA 6 is a solid red district, but my God: Handel publicly said "conservative don't believe in a living wage."

That people making under $75,000 a year could actually vote for a candidate who said that makes me think it will take Hoovervilles before Americans stop voting for the Handels and McConnells.

so it will take something. Let's see what happens to food prices if farm workers aren't available. How about what happens to oil prices when Russia gets what it wants.

..as long as there are people of color, immigrants, gays, women, and most importantly Democrats and liberals it will never be the Republicans fault.

to straightened it out.

History show Republicans mess up the economy and Democrats have to come behind them and fix it. This happens over and over.

I'm not sure why, but when the economy is perking along fine, people have time to concentrate on social issues that they THINK they believe. If most of the things they want came true, they would be the first ones squawking about it.

They believe he is a secret Muslim sent to destroy America. Which is code for being pissed that a black man raised by a single mom broke through the rich, old white dude barrier. They are pissed and lashing out against everything he represents. They hate us for admiring him and not falling in line. Obama is the devil as far as they are concerned. President Obama saved the day but they don't want to accept that.

coming along. IMO, it will just tug back and forth. I've always thought of America as a crisis driven country. Generally things don't happen unless there's a crisis. Probably the same in many countries, likely just human nature.

immature. And many politicians are in it just for the money. I think the notion of country and we the people building a better place for everyone is gone.

Today, it's all about making more money for the few by cheating, lying and whatever is necessary and keeping the population dumb. It's a recipe that will not work long term and sadly many idiots at the top can't comprehend it.

...how can anyone credibly fault Ossoff for making such a sharp inroad there?

These results clearly show voters fleeing the republican party, albeit, in this race, not enough to turn a 'solid red district' blue.

I'm just astonished that ANYONE could vote for someone who admitted to favoring a slave wage, like Handel did.
