They just wrapped up the press conference concerning the Flint airport terrorism attack

The man arrested is a 50 year old Canadian citizen who legally entered the country on June 16, at Lake Champlain, NY. The FBI spokesman said there is no indication that he had an airline ticket, or why he drove all the way to Flint, to stage this attack.

FBI identifies suspect, says Bishop airport stabbing was 'act of terror'

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -
The suspect accused of stabbing an officer at the Bishop International Airport on Wednesday will be charged with terrorism.
The FBI is investigating the stabbing.

Officials said the suspect, Amor Ftouhi, acted alone.

Ftouhi is about 50-years-old and a Canadian citizen, the FBI said.

The incident left one law enforcement officer in critical condition. He has since been upgraded to stable condition.

"The FBI interviewed Ftouhi for a period of time where they learned "he has a hatred for the United States," which was part of his motive for the attack, the FBI said.

Ftouhi shouted "Allahu Akbar" before stabbing Neville, the FBI said. That statement means "God is great" in Arabic.

He also said something along the lines of you have killed people in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan and we are all going to die, the FBI said."

I mean to drive from Lake Champlain to Flint Bishop Airport, to stab someone, seems so incredibly random. They don't think he has family, in the area. And they said he isn't someone who has been on their radar.

The head of airport security said that the Jeff Neville, officer who was attacked, wrestled the man to the ground, despite his savage injuries.

This man now has two countries digging into his past and present.
