buckle up. This could be posturing, of course, as a prelude to "Senator X saves her constituents from ruin" phony dramas.

How they expect to win an election next November with this plan is beyond me....

What cruel and heartless bastards they are...

It's pretty much Obamacare-lite, with tax cuts for the rich, and deep cuts to Medicaid that would take place under the next administration.

If it passes, the billionaires get a tax-cut.
If it fails, he can say that he tried and that it was the fault of those mean Democrats that we are stuck with the imploding Obamacare.

And then he will drop the topic, to never mention it again, and will move on to tax-reform.

Tax "reform" is the issue he cares about most, and will be where the wealthy get the most handouts. He wants to move on amd get that through ASAP.

And threaten to release the video that the Russians made in the Hotel in DFW one night or the pics from the redlight district in Baltimore or some other nightmare. They will soon see the error of their ways.

With only "three" there will be assurances given, negotiations made, and severe arm twisting to get the usual suspects to flip at the last minute (thinking about those moderate in name only-s like Collins and McCain). They will claim some bullshit reason about Obamacare going to implode and while this plan is far from perfect they have been assured that it will be tweaked by the time the cruelest portions go into effect. Pence would LOVE to cast the tie breaking vote as this bill has little to do with healthcare, mostly just a tax cut to the wealthy, but Pence will get his wish of defunding planned parenthood once and for all.
If more than three come out against it, they can resist as a group, and perhaps even start a mini cascade against this hurtful act.

His big quote has been "they may not know who gave it to them, but they sure will remember who took it away" or something to that effect.

There will be zero Democratic votes to gut Medicaid.
