President Trump in a new interview with Fox News from the White House questions special counsel Robert Muellers objectivity, saying he is very, very good friends with fired FBI Director James Comey.
Trump also argues that Mueller has hired "Hillary Clinton supporters" and people who worked for Clinton's 2016 White House bid to work on his investigation, a situation he describes as ridiculous.
The president does not say that Mueller should recuse himself, in response to a direct question for Fox and Friends host Ainsley Earhardt.
Well hes very, very good friends with Comey. Which is very bothersome, Trump says, with first lady Melania Trump at his side. Were going to have to see. But there has been no obstruction, there has been no collusion. There has been leaking by Comey. And virtually everyone agrees on that.
Trump then fires at Mueller for his hirings.
The people who have been hired are all Hillary Clinton supporters, he says. Some of them worked for Hillary Clinton. I mean the whole thing is ridiculous if you want to know the truth from that standpoint."

If I were Trump's attorney I'd advise him to STFU. But from my personal POV keep on talking Trump. You keep on incriminating yourself.

He and whomever helped in this coup should be in prison.
Hillary Clinton did not make Trump take money from and or work in collusion
w/the Russians to rig our elections. Donny did that all by himself.

(14,922 posts)7. It's always something with this whiner. Last time it was American-born Judge Gonzalo Curiel's
"Mexican heritage" that he objected to, but that won't work in this instance. There's something about Trump that reminds me of Tonya Harding.

American History. That makes him the most dangerous by far. nt
