(25,372 posts)Another station in Glendale Oregon says the dewpoint is 50 with a humidity of 21%. Temperature is 96 at that station, with a heat index is 93.
On July 8, 2003, the world-record high dew point of 95 was recorded at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and when combined with that afternoon's temperature of 108 produced a heat index of 174 degrees.
Usually personal weather stations get the dewpoints rights. You may want to check your unit.

Fourth day in a row of triple-digit heat. My thermometer is now telling me that it is 97F with 1% RH. Yesterday it reached 104F in heavy shade in my backyard. Late June and the first part of July are hottest for us. When August comes, we get good rain and it cools off a bit.
Cooler weather tomorrow, and rain expected on Sunday.

(63,221 posts)brief storm and now it's cooling down. We may be having another storm late morning which will reduce the humidity further.
I absolutely hate the heat and humidity. I won't leave my air conditioned apartment if it's over 75 and humid. I love it in the 50's and 60's. Even low 70's is fine if it's dry. I hate feeling sticky and sweaty.
