Take it from a Pennsylvanian... everything Toomey says is a lie. Including "good morning" and "I represent the people of my state"

How can they say this when it is blatantly untrue.

(32,645 posts)I live in PA and Pat Toomey is unfortunately my senator for the next 5 1/2 years.
If he's saying that people who are already on Medicaid (ie already getting disability benefits) those people will not ever be kicked off. Do you believe that? I don't.
If he's saying that Medicaid will always be available for new applicants who need it, benefits will be there. Do you believe him? I don't.
He can say whatever he wants now, and never have to worry about keeping his "promises" because he's following in the footsteps of his mentor, the Cheeto man.
And like Cheeto, Toomey only won the November election because the Russians butt in and hacked it for him. It hasn't been proven yet but it will be proven. Most of us in PA are very suspicious. Toomey stole Katie McGinty's seat in the Senate.

(13,225 posts)it really doesn't matter does it? Medical costs are rising faster than inflation and Toomey wants to tie block grants to regular inflation. Furthermore, with an aging population it is to be expected that the per capita costs of care for the population of Medicaid recipients will increase.
