Just four months before Trump came down the escalator to make his announcement?

http://fortune.com/2015/02/11/trump-taj-mahal-casino-settles-u-s-money-laundering-claims/

<snip>
Trump Taj Mahal agreed to the assessment of a $10 million civil penalty by the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, according to a proposed consent order filed on Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware.

The penalty will take the form of a general unsecured claim in Trump Taj Mahal's bankruptcy.

In exchange, Trump Taj Mahal admitted to have willfully violated reporting and record-keeping requirements under the federal Bank Secrecy Act from 2010 to 2012.

These violations included many that had been previously revealed by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as far back as 2003.

This has been known for some time. It should have been damning, but wasn't. Where was the MSM during the primaries and the general campaign? THIS was the important news but, like dogs chasing a squirrel, every time the Republicans shouted about emails, they looked away and failed to report the stories about his money laundering and Russian mob ties.

I think someone posted it here.

This presidential race was fixed in three ways. And, like most DUers, I've been between rage and depression for the last seven months. I am alienated against every Republican I know.

I feel exactly the same way - crushing depression alternating with rage. Murderous rage, and I have intense hatred towards repukes these days. I'm so burned out, so angry and feeling helpless.

And any joe-smo on the street would face some time for such violations.

You put it well: We are living in puke.

...to launder money. Real estate around the world. Many like the mansion he bought and sold for a $50 million dollar profit! As I recall, a Russian bought if from him? A Russian that used the same bank in Cypress as other Russian oligarchs and international criminals.

Casinos are small potatoes to the criminal in the White House, in my humble opinion.

He also was using the RE version of pump-n-dump to build something on the cheap with leveraged money then sell it off just before the banks tried to foreclose.

The adjectives he uses apply to both "Grinches": cuddly as a cactus, charming as an eel, heart an empty hole, garlic in your soul...Perfect!

Michael: "You know what I can’t figure out? How is it that all these stupid neanderthal mafia guys can be so good at crime, and smart guys like us can suck so badly at it."

How can such a stupid, obnoxious, unlikeable guy like Trump be so corrupt and so venal for such a long time and never have spent any time behind bars? I find it hard to believe that somebody wouldn't have rolled on him long before this.

The only thing that keeps me going is that I have to believe that his luck can't hold out much longer. He's just pushed things too far.

He is a very clever criminal. He covers his tracks very well. He skates on a thin line of legality and rules. He hides his finances, his tax returns, and his close friends.

But, in the last few years, he has gotten himself deep into international money laundering and Russian Mafia operations. He has created an "LLC" for every illegal transaction he has ever had. He has been caught a couple of times, such as with Trump University and the Trump casino operation, and has had to pay fines in the millions of dollars. But his money has always allowed him to escape.
