Dem rep mocks Trump with his own fake Time magazine cover

A Democratic lawmaker on Tuesday mocked President Trump on Twitter after a report in The Washington Post said the president’s golf clubs display a fake Time magazine cover of Trump.
Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) tweeted a fake Time cover of his own.
“Wow, my first cover of Time. Asked my staff to frame this and hang it in all four of my offices. @realDonaldTrump,” Connolly wrote, including a link to the original story in the Post.

A spokesperson for Time told the newspaper that the cover was fake. It is reportedly hanging in at least two of the president’s golf clubs in the United States and a resort in Ireland.

Arms crossed, Donald Trump stares out proudly from under the iconic, red TIME masthead while an all-capped headline reads: "TRUMP IS HITTING ON ALL FRONTS.?.?. EVEN TV!”
Copies of the Time Magazine cover, dated March 1, 2009, were seen hanging prominently in at least four of President Trump's golf resorts, flanked by other framed magazine pages celebrating Trump, his family, or his companies.
Only problem, as the Washington Post discovered, it's not real.
There was no March 1, 2009, issue of Time Magazine, and Trump did not grace the cover at all that year. However, his show, The Celebrity Apprentice, did premiere on March 1, 2009.
