It's virtually guaranteed that we're about to see numerous calls for a return to civility in politics. How "both sides" need to tamp down on the vitriol and come together.
That's not acceptable. Until someone can point to a single high-ranking Democratic officeholder - which doesn't include Johnny Depp or Kathy Griffin - who's ever said anything close to what Trump tweeted, this is 100% on the GOP.

BUT - you make a good point that it's the office of the Pres and we should be able to expect more. Not seeing Democratic officials tweeting personal attacks at anyone

We're not the ones calling for violence against them, yet they think it's OK for them to constantly call violence against us? And they've been doing it for 40 years! Ask the people who were stabbed to death in Portland by a white supremacist who was just attending a right wing free speech rally, if the left is responsible for all political violence. Fuck off, GOP.
