"Hey, Joe - Mika! Nice Show You Got There..."

"We wouldn't want nothing should happen to it, but we hear some people are gonna print some stuff about you two. We know those people, and we prolly could get them to lay offa youse. But, you know, you seem to have something against us. We can stop that stuff from being published, but we need a sign from you that you ain't gonna talk trash about us no more, you know? We wanna help you from being hurt and all, so maybe you should think on that and let us know."

No actual money has to change hands in an extortion. Just something of value, like future income or reputation.

BTW, can we stop with the facade that cons are patriots?

No, a democrat couldnt do this, the filthy fucking cons arent hypocrites as much as they arent Americans.

However, there is always a tipping point. Trump isn't really a Republican, in the traditional sense. In any sense, really. He's all about what's good for The Donald. Republicans know that, but are coddling him because he's letting them do some of the things they've been yearning to do for a very long time.

However, if Trump loses the ability to let them do those things, they'll drop him faster than a burning coal. It's a bargain, really. Trump does what Republicans want and they let him do stuff he wants. A deal with the Devil, more or less.

Time may be running short for Trump, though. His end of the deal isn't looking all that good right now. Soon, he may be a liability to the Republicans and put them at risk. Very soon, perhaps.

From the unlikely reality of Donald Trump in the White House to collusion by a whole pile of people with the Russians and interference with our elections. The Republican leadership is probably in the middle of all of it, and that's the most tiring thing of all.

However, enough people are digging into it all that it will all come out, eventually. Nothing remains a secret forever. We truly are living in interesting times right now. All we can do, as individuals, is wait for it all to play out, really.

Everyone has figured that Joe and Mika have been doing the nasty for quite a while. Nobody really cares. Personally, it all makes me go "Ugh...," but I don't watch them anyhow.

By the same token, nobody really cares what the National Enquirer prints, either. They already printed the Joe and Mika story, on June 2, and nobody even noticed. Joe and Mika are celebrities. People expect celebrities to fool around a lot. Nobody cares.

It's the threats and extortion that are interesting, not the actual situation.
