I'm not worried about Pence replacing Trump

Pence doesn't have "it". He won't get the loyalty from or excite the base like Trump does. Can you imagine a rally headlined by Pence? Plus I think there'd be far less chance of Pence blowing up the world then with Trump being in charge.

But the Repubs don't play by normal rules. They've acted so quickly that it almost has a whiplash effect.

Nixon resigned and we got Ford.

Four years later we had 8 years of Reagan followed by 4 years of Bush 1.0.

So that was Nixon, Nixon/Ford, Carter, Reagan, Reagan, Bush.

That is a devastating run of Republicans by any measure.

Talk about whiplash!

Who do you think picked all the cabinet heads that are such a menace? He'll certainly do his best to stop women from receiving good health care. And, he's uber ideological, but not smart. There's a reason they call him Mike Dense in Indiana.

With one exception, DeVos! I believe that the other cabinet heads were picked by Bannon, with Haley being picked by Ivanka!

Carson was given his position based on the fact that he was black and putting a black man in charge of government housing was an inside joke with the white assholes that make up this administration!

Who better to be put in charge of what will soon be government slums, then a black man, with no concept of what the hell he's suppose to be doing?

It was Pence, head of the transition team, along with guidance from the Mercers with the way smoothed by KellyAnne "“She has a much closer and longer-standing bond with Vice President Mike Pence and is equally tight with the media-shy Mercer family, who've been bankrolling the Trump-Pence agenda since well before the hyphenate "Trump-Pence" existed.”

http://www.elle.com/culture/career-politics/a43112/kellyanne-conway-profile/

Bannon was more of a newcomer w/KA only knowing him for a few years. Also, Rebekah Mercer is an advisor to 45. They, the Mercers, are very, very rightwing conservative and she Rebekah wants to blow up the government as it presently exists.

Pence is not smart but because of his beliefs can and will do a lot of damage.

If the investigation is thorough it will get him. I think Manafort suggested Pence as his running mate. I also believe Ryan and McConnell are complicit. Is that a crime?

LOTS of criminals to be caught, & Team MUELLER'S investigations have to be thorough.

Sometime in the wee hours, I read that report that broke overnight, & it confirmed for me, that pense is COMPLETELY involved.

ryan was recorded in a republiker meeting, not just agreeing r's were bought & paid for by ruskies, but shut the conversation down by saying something like, "we're all family here, that's how we know we're family.." that they cover for each other.

mcconnell, crooked as a stick. I KNOW he knew the next Supreme Court nomination was theirs, & why he stole/obstructed the nomination from President Obama for a year. In fact, he obstructed for 8 years..mcconnell was in on rusky corruption for many years, I believe.

I BELIEVE a boatload of 'em are going to go down in Mueller's investigation. It will be SWEEEET!

Mike Pence, Paul Ryan, were the ones that came up with the house bill, which was the framework for the Senate bill.

Aside from that, Pence is predictable and not insane. He can probably be trusted to take counsel from the (relatively)saner
Washingtonians.

Trump's stupidity, cupidity, and just plain assholery is dangerous. It caused every one of his businesses to fail, and it is now causing the failure of government.

Trump is Hamilton's greatest fear.

Pence is used to the order of things. We will not like what he may do, we may hate what he might do, but the damage will be more controllable, and we will survive it.

...and that the Presidency would make him at least consider it, occasionally. Please God, I am *not* saying that the Presidency "ennobles" people, or that it brings out the best in people. Andrew Johnson? Warren Harding? LBJ? Nixon? Dubya? Our current President? The office brought out the worst in all of them. But sometimes, you get a surprise. Lincoln. Truman. Eisenhower. Ford. The odds are greatly against Pence being on this list--he's ideologically extreme, a theocrat, and not particularly smart. But at least it's *possible*. There are no possibilities whatever for Dolt45, except disaster.

He would be hanging on by his fingertips and his presidency would be mired in suspicion and distrust. Once you lose trust, it is very, very difficult to win it back. His approval would be poor, the results of the Trump era poor decisions would be coming home to roost and an upcoming star of the Democratic Party would be a breath of fresh air for most people.
