(9,426 posts)Her settlement (for staying with him, pretending to be "happy" prevents her from telling the truth. Word is, their divorce papers were drawn up, ready to sign when he "won" the election. He needed her to portray the image of a happy family, so she must be making plenty of $$$$ to stick around. Gold digging woman is living a miserable life, all for $$$. Maybe she is afraid her lifestyle will suffer once she divorces tRump and marries the security guard from Tiffany's in the tRump tower?

(19,204 posts)the world's worst pre-nup. What other reason could there possibly be for sticking with the Orange Shit-Stain for this long? No one could ever love something like that.
Even his own children are merely protecting what they imagine is their "huge windfall" after his demise (which can't come soon enough for most people). I think they're going to be disappointed. I don't think Der Gropenfuhrer's wealth is anywhere NEAR where he says it is. Oh, they're certainly going to make out like fat rats, but I think their inheritance will be substantially less than imagined. If he hadn't been (s)elected, they'd REALLY be down the shitter! He's enriching himself exponentially at the taxpayer's expense. If not for that, his "wealth" would be severely overstated, in my humble opinion.

(60,010 posts)When he talks about how much he is worth, he admitted the number depends on his mood. that is a quote, from a deposition.
Thanks to bookkeeping and tax language, he can claim to own things that he is debt for.
Plus, he claims he owns buildings that he doesn't, just his name is paid for on hotels that others built.
But when someone sues him and the hotel, his lawyers are quick to point out that he doesn't own it.
And....Ivanka is, right now, caught in the same trap over the shoe design lawsuit. She tried to back away from it saying she does not run the business or make any decisions. too bad about that interview she gave some months ago, claiming to control EVERY step of the production of her items.
Trump and his spawn need to pay the piper, and soon.

(60,010 posts)It's on torrents if you are into that sort of thing.
Tim is a nationally known author and reporter. He told Donald he wanted to write about him, Donald was all tickled, till he realized he could not censor the outcome. So he sued O'Brien for 50 million.
trump then had to sit down for a lengthy deposition, parts of it now are all over the web, poiinting out the BS Trump gives to avoid reading the pages.
In that same deposition are his comments about how he values his worth.
when he went bankrupt in late 1980's/early 1999's, he was in the hole for close to a billion.
It was that Wilbur Moss guy who helped him recover, who went to the banks to arrange how to pay things off, and who arranged for Trump to have
"only"
$450,000 a MONTH to live on.
while the debts were cataloged .
Trump has always had a gang of lawyers. One of them said that they learned not to talk to him unless in a group, because he lies so incessantly.
One of them said.." I would not believe a word he says even if his tongue were notarized."
You watch that deposition and see how smooth he is with the bullshit, years of practice. and when confronted, he just moves right on with more talk, doesn't argue, doesn't blink.
The guy is a psychopath. Seriously.

(17,984 posts)Or is it still in the planning stage? I haven't heard a peep about it. In retrospect, Malaria is probably wishing she had chosen another issue to tackle, like improperly made champagne popsicles.

It was in one of my threads...I just don't remember which one, or I'd share it (and the link) with you.

(18,837 posts)"THE WALL": It's gonna be beautiful, and also, we've decided to put solar panels on it.
"ISIS": Trump ran on a "secret plan to defeat ISIS," and from what it looks like, it's still secret, 6 months in.
"HEALTH CARE": It's a beautiful plan, the best you have ever seen, and if we don't have the votes, we'll just kill ObamaCare and fix it later.
On and on and on and...

(60,010 posts)Sounded like Trump's idea, wanting to follow in the tradition of President's wives having an issue.
But Melania is exceptionally private and really does not enjoy being in the public eye unless it is a camera shoot.
Can't blame her.

(18,837 posts)In the last "Fox & Friends" clip, she was allowed to read a few prepared remarks and then stared into the distance, and every once in a while she would punctuate his remarks by narrowing her eyes and nodding in a "knowing" way. The effect was like watching the robotic models / dancers behind Robert Palmer in his "Addicted to Love" video. That's what she "contributes."
