to have been a fly in the room on Saturday night?
Why throw out the "looking for dirt on Hillary" ?
--- Divert attention from something worse? - people looking deeper into Prevezon ?
--- Worried there might have been tapes? Na...Trump already found out no TT tapes when he claimed there were and everyone immediately said "NO WAY"
--- But...Do they know who FISA warrants are issued for? Could there be one on Natalia Veselnitskaya and tapes?
--- It's actually, amazingly, a true story?

(5,442 posts)The WH is putting the focus on junior to divert it from Kushner, who has greater legal vulnerability because of his position. IOW, throwing him under the bus.

(42,770 posts)the "cheel-dren". Their father is a maniac. And it's so obvious Sr's shining star
is Ivanka - and by default Kushner. I imagine the boys have tried all their lives
to please him - to make him like them as much as he loves Ivanka.

If Don Jr takes the hit, then Jared would be less exposed?
If I were a bettin' man, I would bet a Franklin that Donald knows about it all?

It seems like they're both sitting in the same pile of shit.

A source with knowledge of the investigation tells me that IC had "ears on" Russian lawyer. The meeting was recorded. Donald, Jr is toast.

(10,952 posts)I seriously doubt that Jr got Kushner and Manefort to attend the meeting without them knowing what is going on. This family is not one that knows how to keep their mouths shut. I imagine that as soon as Jr got the email he went running to the rest of the family. No way that Sr didn't know what was going on either. Non one in that family has ever been forced to face serious consequences for anything they have done in their lives. It is easy to believe that they assumed that they could play with the Russians and never get caught.
Laura PourMeADrink
(42,770 posts)suspicious that she made a point to say Kushner left early and Manafort was reading his phone the whole time. Kind of bolsters the idea that they are in cahoots and that Jr was to take fall. why else would she even throw that in? unless they manufactured a story

(36,437 posts)Junior released the emails thinking along the lines of: "If I'm guilty, why would I personally release emails that show I'm guilty? Nobody would be that stupid! Therefore, I must not really be guilty!"
Simple, no?

(22,976 posts)That non-supportive, robotically unemotional statement from #45 sounds like they're throwing Junior to the wolves, perhaps in the hope that such a maneuver will take the heat off Senior. Offload the entire blame onto the shoulders of an "inexperienced son" whose only desire was "to help dad make America great again," or some such fabrication.
Wouldn't be the first time someone's taken the fall for Dad.

(2,419 posts)of the story. It wasn't just that it was coming out in the Times. They knew Kushner was updating his security clearance forms and he was turning over the information about the meetings anyway. The knuckleheads thought they could control the narrative with their usual bull.
