Perhaps this was written at a point in time where the possibility of a man like Dolt45 assuming the presidency was considered improbable, even impossible...but here we are. There may well be no formal standard in this case, but since "always left" applies for both horizontal and vertical display, it's reasonable to extend the standard in this case.
