Just found out a colleague had his sabbatical canceled due to Dump.

He was supposed to go to Cuba to work with other Cuban artists this fall.

Now he can't, due to the travel ban being reinstated.

There is no end of the reasons why I hate that Putin pretender.

Also, wanted to add: He'd been studying Cuban Spanish for months in preparation (paying out of his own pocket), and doing extensive reading on Cuban history and arts.

Hundreds of hours of preparation, down the tubes.

He can do it personally, but he had a whole project outlined and approved by the college.

If he were to take the "unauthorized" route, he would probably get fired.

I'd love to go... I just don't have the time/funds.

I'll bet the only reason 45 is reinstating the ban is because they won't let him build a gawd-awful TRUMP hotel in Havana - they're too classy for that sort of shit, Donnie!
