(13,099 posts)Their ratings are an illusion of tvs locked on the channel in homes and businesses.

Although, I do think Shepard Smith would do ok, but he doesn't really belong there.

"Yeah, let's bring over a Faux News talking head. Pay her a shitload of money.
Get her a choice prime time slot. And hype up her show with Million$ of dollars
in advertising. Yeah. That'll work."
I didn't get a harumph outta that guy.
What part of "Faux News talking head" did they not get the grasp of?

(182,829 posts)First of all, she followed O'Reilly and anyone could get ratings in that slot. Hell a complete dolt like Hannity did.
Head to head against 60 Minutes?
Lastly, debuting a show (especially a news show) at the start of summer is a recipe for disaster.

As for the rest of the world, she is marked with the sign of FOX, it like having 666 on your forehead.

I believe he'll be out if Megyn Kelly's contract gets cancelled.
It will cost the network $ millions.

(5,914 posts)Is that all the dumbfucks who could be suckered HAVE been suckered... and are watching Fox News.
In the meantime, Fox's core audience continues to move from the nursing home to the cemetery.

(58,670 posts)Fox News is highly scripted and rigorously controlled.
Moving to a more open, true news orientation is hard to do after years and years of that.

(12,618 posts)By which I mean you pissed off the legion of brain-dead, rabid, ignorant yokels that fuel Faux News. You see, the rest of the country that doesn't follow that shit knows what a joke it is, and they're simply not going to accept you knowing that you were a major part of it for so long. So you pretty much shot your career in the foot by turning on it.
However, in the long run, it was probably good for your soul, and may get you some extra points come judgement day. Now go ye forth, and sin no more!

(12,157 posts)I've only seen clips of her on The Daily Show, DU, and elsewhere. Kelly's blatant racism and obnoxious parroting of right-wing talking points make her unwatchable. I won't shed a tear if she disappears from the airwaves. Unfortunately she's not one of a kind.
