My Take On Things
Tonight, after watching Rachel and Lawrence, I asked myself, "Why now?" Why did the Dumpster do an interview with the NYT in order to trash Sessions, Comey, Mueller et. al? It seemed out of context to what is actually going on. Then it hit me. The Dumpster is probably acting on something Putin told him at that one-on-one meeting they had where the Dumpster claims they only talked about adoptions. Considering Putin's background with the KGB, he knew quite easily how to pump the Dumpster up by telling him how he would do things if he were Prez of the United States. Of course Putin would fire anyone who got in his way and told the Dumpster that. Better yet, Putin would have them murdered and avoid any political messiness. So the Dumpster comes back to settle scores against those he feels did him dirt because of what Putin told him. So I feel quite confident that he will use his new FBI Director to fire Mueller and in the process get rid of Sessions. Not only should they follow the money, but now they need to start following the bodies as well.

So I would not make that connection. I think this is just Drumpf being Drumpf.
Who knows, though. However I just don't think one should speculate beyond what we actually know.
At least such speculation satisfies as entertainment. As such, your take succeeds.
