https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/21/business/media/wall-street-journal-editorial-writer-is-found-dead.html?_r=0Make no mistake about it, Mr. Rago was a right wing conservative who railed against entitlement programs.
Here is the last paragraph from his last editorial against the republican failure to repeal the ACA:
"The coming days will see more than a few liberal tributes to the invincibility of the entitlement state, and how Republicans miscalculated by declining to accommodate ObamaCare. Entitlements by their nature are hard to reform once theyve gained a constituency, but what these odes will omit is how close Republicans came. They had the power to reverse the march toward single-payer health care, and most wanted to use it but were blocked by a few feckless deserters.
The ObamaCare Republicans are betting voters wont remember, but implosions this consequential take a long time to forget."

It is obvious from his last editorial his disgust for the so-called moderate republicans
And while accolades will be bantered about how he was such a "clear, logical, thinker, I doubt compassion for those less fortunate will be used to describe him.
Make no mistake about it, Mr. Rago was a wing nut.
He was an alumni of the Dartmouth Review, a bi-weekly neoconservative newspaper with the likes of people like Dinesh D'Souza and Laura Ingraham.
Here is a flavor of the kind of paper the Dartmouth Review is:

We're talking about a thinking, feeling human being being plucked from this earth in his prime!
Just kidding. He was advocating early death for millions because they are poor. Instant karma.
May his backfat crackle in hell for eternity.

The only people who don't want one are the rich and super rich, although their own wealth has come from a type of state welfare couched in terms of "subsidies" "grants" "Federal contracts" 'tax loopholes" "tax credits" and a host of business and corporate "write-offs," It' the gated mindset of people who not worked their way up from anything except inheritance of wealth and white skin.
