Wow, Schumer just said on the floor of the Senate that they have

been wasting time on amendments on something that isn't even the final bill put together by Republicans--that the so-called "skinny repeal" is the final bill--and Dems haven't even seen it yet!

So he announced that Dems would waste no more time presenting amendments until they see the final bill, and soon.

(I think I have this right...)

I don't know if Schumer misunderstood something or not, but I'm betting on not. He's pretty smart.

Or both?

With a couple of Republican exceptions.

But NOW, Sheldon Whitehouse is taking this extra visibility to reveal that some real carbon-fee regulations that a lot of heavy hitter companies are on board with. Very good news.

They created the problem themselves, and for many years it has kept them in power. Now, suddenly and unexpectedly, Republicans control both Congress and the White House and the people they've brainwashed into believing that Obamacare is terrible expect them to do something.

Except there's nothing the Republicans can do, because despite 7 (or is it 17) years of being lied to, a lot of people actually want to keep their Obamacare. The Republican caucus is divided between people who actually understand that, and batshit crazy people who want to repeal it all (kill kill kill!!!!). So they'll never agree on a plan.

The Republicans would like to walk away from this monster they created and distract their voters with something else (Benghazi!) but there's a certifiably crazy person in the White House who keeps bringing it up.
