LAS VEGAS —

Hackers attending this weekend's Def Con hacking convention in Las Vegas were invited to break into voting machines and voter databases in a bid to uncover vulnerabilities that could be exploited to sway election results.

The 25-year-old conference's first “hacker voting village” opened on Friday as part of an effort to raise awareness about the threat of election results being altered through hacking.

Every year they go after something that has been said it is hack proof. Every year they hack said item. Our elections have been in jeopardy for decades and the state governments have not been financed to BUY the security fixes or new machines.

The Gubmint has refused to rely on a secure system. Even if it is hand counted ballots and we have to wait a whole day to find out who won, unlike news stations calling the races with 1% of pulling places votes. How is it Iraq can have a more secure system then we do? No on in DC has the political will to ensure safe elections. Shame on all in office.

So often this issue gets swept under the rug after every election, whereas the fake voter fraud issue gets plenty of traction.
