I think the studio heads have told all hosts and pundits that they must refer to that bag of shit as 'president'. Are they afraid #IMPOTUS will sue? Fuck him!

Calling him Obama without the title conveys warmth. I know when I say president Obama it's because I'm talking about policy or something serious. But, I mostly use Obama. It's a cool name and using casual names is a sign of affection.

One way of reading it in that context is that people don't want to see themselves as close enough or caring enough to use Trump's his last name as a nickname. They want as much formality and distance as possible. I use it because it has a fitting ugly sound. I was always amused by the pride he takes in slapping such an ugly name on buildings. I long for the days when I saw him as nothing but a cartoonish, self absorbed fool.
