I am not expecting Trump to be indicted by GJ

I've seen it before. Christie, Cheney, Rove...

The big fish always get away.

I will be delighted if it happens,

But I'm not holding my breath.

Sorry to dump on the premature parade here.

5. There's a reason why Trump doesn't want his finances looked into.

Even if there's nothing on Russia, I believe something will show up. Somebody who lies and cheats as much as Trump must have all kinds of other skeletons.

For so many years, that there is a vast mountain of crime that Mueller can choose from.
Trump won't last the year...that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

7. my guess is that *if* benedict donald is indicted by a federal grand jury, it will be for tax fraud.

i think i am with you as far as campaign-related stuff goes.

then again, we're dealing with an unusual level of incompetence here. it's entirely possible that they're no where near as good as we're used to in terms of covering their tracks, not to mention getting actual loyalty out of subordinates.

benedict donald leaves in his wake an ocean of victims eager to tell their tale.

my real hope for an indictment for benedict donald is from the states, particularly new york.

8. I don't know. If they go into the money, I think there's a good chance there's something there.

The Russians bought and paid for him after he screwed everything up financially in the 90s, and he's been laundering money for them ever since. That condo sale story Rachel did about the Russian cement king can't be the only incident.

10. Yes but it will be effective as far as making him even crazier and that is a good thing.

Then his cabinet can nail him using the 25th Amend since the GOP already is preparing for that scenario possibly coming before any impeachment.

I remember last week, solemn, self assured doomsayers on DU:

"The vice president is in the chamber. he wouldn't be there if they didn't have the votes. they have the votes."

"the aca is dead."

There were many, many posts along those same lines. Some were even more comically overwrought.

Turns out they didn't have the fucking votes.

So, as I said in the other thread predicting Trump wouldn't ever come back to the WH, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The GOP already went through Nixon's treason, and Reagan's treason, and Bush's lying a country in to war, all without a word.

Nixon resigned to avoid the shame of impeachment, but today's GOP politicians have no shame.

Reagan's treason in the Iran-Contra affair was minimized by the GOP and the corporate media that insisted on the need for a smoking gun.

Bush's lies were also minimized when they were not ignored by the media.

Trump will continue on with his idiocy unless the GOP decides he is a hindrance. At that point he might be pressured to resign.
