When will Trump's hit us?
Also, who the hell is he going to blame after running off at the mouth since November about how he is magically improving the economy? If the shit hits the fan in 2018 or 2019, then he can't get away with blaming it on Obama or the Democrats, though he will damn sure try that excuse. He and the repuke congress will own the damn mess by then.
What's scary is that Trump and his collection of incompetents could turn a recession into a full blown depression.

(36,747 posts)The Dow is now even more inflated percentage-wise than it was in 2007.
This time around though, the Federal Reserve and other central banks will outright step into the markets and directly buy stocks, bonds...any paper it can get its hands on to prevent a large crash. They will spend trillions if needed.
We all then will pay for it through inflation.

(9,132 posts)I do. They thought that Hillary would win the presidential election and were licking their chops about how many Democratic senators would get tanked in the 2018 presidential election. The reason they thought that the 2018 elections would be a romp for Club Pachyderm was because they thought there would be a downturn between Inauguration Day 2017 and the 2018 mid-term elections.
The US economy is still coasting on President Obama's policies. Thump hasn't had a chance to run things into the ditch yet.
