(68,868 posts)It's one thing to post that crap on Facebook but circulating it at work is asking to be fired.
Thought experiment--what if he had made the argument on race instead of sex? No one other than the Daily Stormer crowd would be upset.
Sexism is still much more socially 'acceptable.'

(112,377 posts)There were only nine of us and eight were women. It didn't start out that way--it was 12-4, but the women who was the manager made an effort to run off the male employees while the women either left for other employment or became disabled.

(112,377 posts)There were four men when I started and I was the last one that remained. There were 12 women and 8 remained when I left the company. Of the four women that left three went voluntarily into new jobs while the fourth had a stroke and went onto disability. I was a stat analyst for an insurance company and my unit was merged into an affiliated IT company when the insurance company liquidated.

(42,641 posts)Yes, we all know that women are not fit to work outside the home, or vote, or drive cars, or do all those other tasks requiring higher thinking ability.
Fighting the same stupidity is like experiencing Groundhog Day, not as a movie, but as reality.

(42,641 posts)We always ask why we dont see women in top leadership positions, but we never ask why we see so many men in these jobs, the memo reads.
These positions often require long, stressful hours that may not be worth it if you want a balanced and fulfilling life.
If men have a higher drive to succeed, that explains why discrimination is actually being realistic. Explains it for misogynists at least.

(2,897 posts)I would drop everything that I'm doing and go to law school just for the inevitable gender discrimination lawsuit.
I'm guessing some lawyer at google is frantically looking through his employee file to see if any of his ideas leaked into peer reviews of/interactions with female colleagues.

At least we get this one little bit of schadenfreude.
