to NK. . .

basic demagogue tactic: When the going gets rough, the tough get a war to a: distract attention from investigation, and b: consolidate power by rising fear in the population.

With the threat to Guam, Kim has effectively called Trump's escalation to fire and fury. Will Trump lay his cards on the table or fold and scurry away? Neither alternative is all that savory: World War III or American credibility dialed down to -1, but of the two, I prefer sacrificing our credibility to turning the planet into an orbiting cinder.
