This is too good - appeasement re thanking Putin for firing staff.
A scathing destruction of an ignorant lunatic tool.

about what Cheeto was doing on his knees in front of Putin!
It's sad

(18,837 posts)...I'm thinking it's something less dramatic and more incriminating.
Because hey, at this point, if he diid sit there and watch two Russian prostitutes pee on a bed that Obama slept in, what's going to happen? He'll promise to pay for the mattress (and of course won't)? His "base" would cheer him if he actually did supervise two prostitutes peeing on a mattress that Obama slept on. We know this!
The alleged affair with Hope Hicks? Who cares? He has a record of divorces wrapped around adultery wrapped around more divorces. Melania's there to cash in on the prenup after Trump's out of Washington.
I don't think there's any "scandal" at all. I think it's good, old-fashioned, highly illegal money laundering, or something of that nature. I think Putin used that as leverage to make Trump his puppet, and when you tie that into collusion, I think that will cover every chapter of the story.
Remember bin Laden and 911 and the constant "follow the money" mantra out of the people trying to put the pieces of the al Qaeda puzzle together? Same thing here. I'm guessing that all of the pre-dawn raids and subpoenas are in the name of following the money, and if Mueller has Trump's tax returns, and if he can connect the dots to Putin, then it's game over for Trump.
Trump got away with everything before the presidency because most people...and especially journalists...didn't give a rat's ass about Donald Trump. He was a slob, a loudmouth, a sexist pig, a buffoon, a liar, a braggart, and a reality TV host.
His big mistake was putting himself where he wanted to be...in the spotlight, 24/7.
Now he's there, and that warm sensation he's feeling on the back of his neck is Robert Mueller's breath.

(19,204 posts)Trump thinks he's the smartest man in ANY room. No one working close to him, or his family, will tell him he's just one step higher than plant life on the evolutionary chain, and to keep his BIG MOUTH shut! He knows more than his Generals, he knows ALL THERE IS TO KNOW about healthcare, and he's SO MUCH smarter than all those egg-head scientists who keep telling everyone, "the planet is heating up, the planet is heating up".
He's a poor man's vision of a rich man, and ignorant man's vision of a smart man, a weak man's vision of a strong man, and a white trash man's vision of a sophisticated man. The real problem lies with the fact that he's NONE OF THOSE THINGS. He's not that rich (he grossly over-estimates his wealth), he's as ignorant as all hell, he's ignorant enough to ride the "short" bus, he's a weak person who tries to bully everyone into thinking he's tough, and he's white trash himself (as is his entire family).
Only a very stupid man thinks he knows everything there is to know about everything. That describes Trump to a tee.

(17,276 posts)I read an op-ed this morning (WaPo) which recalled all the times in his life that he's made big promises and big threats and never followed through. I expect the same now with North Korea.

(65,487 posts)claimed in an interview that Republican representatives and senators were amazed at how much he knew when they discussed it with him, he also said in astonishment that no one knew it was so complicated.
Of course, everyone else knew. He was the only ignoramus who didn't know.
