(15,543 posts)But me thinks that Excellent Very-Modern Traitor Investigators can excavate the evil, criminal, darkside, stanky, deplorable anti-American activities of the republican criminals who have been pissing all over America and American democracy. One certainly hopes so.

(51,627 posts)or the hard drives still have the info. Doesn't Manafort know that? Actually, now that I think of it, a reporter did say that he just started to seriously get good lawyers. He went to law school so he should have known better before now. Maybe he IS a little dim.

(174 posts)The problem is that she had a back-up cloud server. Manafort had more time to prepare.

(12,676 posts)On edit - the article mentions he indicated in the paperwork he submitted that "he doesn't have access to the emails from when he was working with the RNC". Which is odd way of phrasing things, especially if he was supposed to have kept his non-RNC campaign related emails -like meetings with the Russians, his personal business dealings, and other stuff off his official campaign email account.
Of course, since he's a good GOP'er, it's no big deal his email management was piss-poor and critical official email records are missing or otherwise "unavailable". Just like the Bush administration where over 5 million of the emails belonging to 51 administration officials (using the RNC-provided gw43.com email accounts instead of their government email) "disappeared" during the investigation of why 8 U.S. District Attorneys investigating Rove's actions were just up and fired. And no one got into any trouble...
IOKIYAR, after all.

(111,110 posts)They were either sent by someone else or were sent to someone else. They would have to be scrubbed on all recipients of emails. Even then, they would probably be on the "Cloud"?
