It does/would save him from what Rmoney is going through. I think it's a very real possibility if he does want to be President. Thanks to his idiot little brother, he would have to do something like this to get in.

I hope not. He was my gov. He's got the meanness of bush, but smart and more evil. Big temper, and has not only daddy issues but now brother issues, he was supposed to be president, no W. that's gotta hurt, he will have to invade china or iran to beat daddy and W.

"The republicans suck so bad, they can't even decide on a candidate after their chosen candidate proved to be a lying felon" isn't exactly going to win any hearts.

Then again, with all the hate for Romney in his own party, they may vote for Jeb in desperation, but I suspect a lot of stay-at-homes on election day

and whether a "real" candidate would be whipped out just in time to save the day.
I wouldn't pick Jeb, though, or anyone who'd been anywhere near the national stage, because...well, come on. It would have to be an unknown who was brought in the game too late for anyone to examine his history too closely.

But then, that's just my paranoi--er, cynicism talking.

I have seen a couple of interviews, and he's actually a fairly sensible guy. He knows the tea party would hate him because he is nothing like his brother.
The Bush family is not as influential as people think. Their competency is likely to be questioned in today's politics. Poppy raised taxes, and Bush II lost credibility with the financial disaster.

that for the past few years, he has become way too sensible. He and the GOP were moving in opposite directions. There is no one in GOPLand looking to try to nominate him now.
