Apparently some officers saying driver was scared. Not malicious

The video I saw had a car coming from a rather empty area of the block, speeding toward the crowd! Scared, my ass!!

Wouldn't he have been going away from the crowd?!?!

I also didn't see any rocks or debris being thrown at the car. If I am wrong I will retract.

There is quite a bit of video of this. The POS doesn't have a leg to stand on. It was deliberate. The only surprise he got was that there were 3 other cars in his way.

The second one is from someone nearly two blocks away from the crowd and has - poor - video of the car accelerating towards them. It also shows the car accelerating backwards, dragging its bumper.

How many times to we have to hear "I was scared" after a person is slain?
Also a defense offered up by far too many "officers" imo. I guess that would make them prone to accept cowardliness as an excuse.

Can't help but believe that if the driver were a POC the DA would have already held a presser announcing first degree murder charges and that death penalty is on the table.

The car is registered to 20-year-old James Alex Fields of Ohio, according to vehicle registration records reviewed by The Washington Post. Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail Superintendent Martin Kumer told The Post that a man with the same name and age was booked Saturday on suspicion of second-degree murder, malicious wounding, failure to stop for an accident involving a death, and hit and run. Kumer said Fields is being held without bail.
