(90,787 posts)That's the only part of it that surprises me.
I'm sure someone did say it immediately after it happened - just not on social media in that second. Out loud to the people around them and then they went on social media.
Whether blaming Soros or simply saying it was a set-up of some sort. A false flag.

(9,808 posts)No other commentary, just the meme. Make sure it's one that amuses you. An imgur or giphy search is good for this. I am partial to Tommy Lee Jones for this.
You're not going to change that person's mind, but mocking them is good for general morale.
Cognitively, the best way to change a mind in one-on-one conversation is to not say anything, but pause with a flat, neutral expression for at least a three count (then either walk away or pointedly ask if they're sure they intended to say that). This specifically works because our emotional indexing system is far faster than our speech and auditory processing systems. So when Kelly says something stupid and Lee reacts by saying, "That was stupid!" (or racist or sexist or whatever), Kelly's emotional reaction of "Lee's being MEAN!" kicks in well before Kelly has a chance to review the tape and match stupid thing said to judgement. Which just makes Kelly defensive. But if Lee just stands there, not responding and not giving any feedback, it makes Kelly's brain review the tape and figure out what Kelly said that broke the conversation. (And this doesn't work every time, it is not universal, but it works better than the alternatives.) We need to offload the work back into the brains that are producing nonsense, because they have broken feedback.
Memes are the written communication equivalent. The worst case scenario is the damfool attacks or blocks you (with an attack, report, screenshot and block; if they block, hooray! All work done for you!). The more likely scenario is is your meme amuses others and gets them thinking. Our goal at this point is to treat those people as infectious. We need to isolate and quarantine them, so that their ideas don't have a chance to replicate and spread.

They were saying that the Dodge Challenger wasn't heavy enough to have done the damage that was caused, and that if you look closely at the chasis, you can tell that it's been altered.
Yada. Yada. Yada. Cray Cray!!!!
