"There is no whining in politics. Stop demanding an apology, release your tax returns." - John Weaver, a veteran Republican strategist, after presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney said anew that he won't go beyond releasing his 2010 tax records and, before the election, his 2011 taxes.

(53,235 posts)The problem is "whining" is all Romney has. He cant release them because that would likley expose him as a liar and possibly a criminal. So his only recourse is to continue lying and whining.

(12,228 posts)This is not the typical Democrat talking. What does this mean about the fear about this issue AND the possible re-vetting of the candidacy behind the scenes?
To those worried about another Great White Dope seizing the fake road of distraction, Clown show, Ring three "Performing after the elephants". Of ccourse we know the script, the distraction, the bluster but it still means Obama wins substantially more, perhaps beyond the dreams of devastation if the outpouring of smoke means the house is almost burned down.
Money. For all the big stuff available, millions have already been wasted and distracted down to the Anointed. So too the wheels of the organization and organized fraud. All those wheels slip off the tracks
MORE if Romney is unseated now. The amount of financing IF at all possible would have to come through incredible(and for once PAINFUL) huge one percenter funds- and fast. That with the prospect of it being a sinkhole or simply staving off a degree of disaster and making oneself a total loser outsider(and less powerful in money and influence) won't make up for the redoing on more fundraisers, less time, more confusion, retreat, weighing of options, moving of more faux citizens to their offshore havens.
Campaign on the ground will be substantially hurt, a national Presidential team impossible, importing say the Bush veterans into the center of the bonfire unlikely, probably impossible.
If the DOJ simply went about stopping election fraud by the GOP ALL the resources would shift into a shell of a POTUS candidate bubble and the House races(if it hasn't already).
They should break that fraud of a party over their knee like a dry stick, IMHO and stop sustaining the fraud of bipartisanship and that fraud of a rich man's prophylactic.

The likelihood and penalty for saying something really dumb increases exponentially too.

(3,517 posts)Mitt Romney has only released one year of tax returns.
Today, George Romney would not even trust his own son.
Should you?
I truly Hope it's in the works.
Or a keeper for after the convention material is okay also.
