"All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope."

Obviously this Dorito Cheeto has never heard of Churchill.

I am strongly in favor of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes - it would spread a lively terror."

hoping that the Nazis would last long enough to destroy the Soviet Union first.

The fact that the war would inevitably be extended by several years, and that tens of millions more would have to die for that to happen (if it succeeded at all) was almost irrelevant to him.

It goes without saying that Ike hated his guts. Even FDR, who got along famously with Churchill at a personal level, eventually came to see him as less an ally than an outright obstacle in the war effort.

When FDR died, Churchill refused to attend the funeral. He could be as petty as he was reactionary.

But among most of our fellow Americans, there's always been a lot of reticence to confront right-wing extremism head on.

The internet, and recent events, may be changing that though.

In this time of hatred and protesting against it, we get refreshing words of wisdom from a learned individual.

Elizabeth Warren?
The President of the United States just defended neo-Nazis and blamed those who condemn their racism and hate. This is sick.
