First question for any Republican who appears on TV will be "Should Romney release his taxes?"

That is why we have seen so few of them(None) on TV defending Romney when he needs them the most. They can't. There is no good answer to that question. They either say "No." and they look like crooks themselves or they can say "Yes." and they stick it to their nominee and make just him look like the crook.

Sometimes it really sucks to be a Republican.

Tax returns would probably disclose how much Romney profited from Bain after his departure in the form of a severance package... This is the least sinister reason I can think of for holding back. But, who knows what else might be revealed.
