Those are crazy insane low numbers. Personally I don't expect them to go lower for now.

Way too high for what he is. Nixon's were ten points lower. For all Nixon's crimes, he never sunk this low.

Gallup is just one poll. If you average all the polls, it is more like 38%. (Even Gallup is up to 36% now.) And it could go muchlowr. Bush 43, Carter and Nixon all got into the 20's.

He lost some support, but gained some of the right wing fringe back.

IF the anti-Antifa drumbeat takes off, Trumps numbers will go up. "We must defeat the evil leftists" is still a very powerful tactic. Threading the needle to not appear too pro-fascist will be a challenge for the GOP however.

clipping along he will stay at least in the 30s (perhaps the 40s).

Once a recession comes then it will go down.


I suspect an outside crisis will be the deciding factor. His poll numbers will probably grow as we receive back the body bags of our sons and daughters in the military.
