WASHINGTON (ABC7) — David Duke, the former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, thanked President Trump after his news conference Tuesday for condemning the "leftist terrorists" in Charlottesville.
Duke attended the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville on Saturday and was quoted in a video that went viral reminding the president that he and his fellow white supremacists helped elect him.
"We are determined to take our country back," Duke said Saturday. "We are going to fulfill the promise of Donald Trump. That's what we believe in. That's why we voted for Donald Trump, because he said he's going to take our country back."
