It is terrorism, intimidation, and messaging, sure. But it is also a mechanism for recruiting. A call to choose sides. There will be lots of budding nazis who see the videos and want to participate. Who view the white nationalists as victims, part of a larger historic war.

The torches, wild statements, violence, slogans, conflicts, etc were MEANT to be outrageous enough to be in the news for days. Without dudes saying that there will be more deaths and this is just a start...and without shock and outrage...they aren't on TV. They want visibility. They want backlash.

This is their call to jihad. That much of the world noticed and condemned them...and that a president and half the country is silent...is that a loss or a victory?

If they consider the event a loss, they won't plan more of them. If it was a victory, you'll see more events with global fundraising to follow.
