I don't know why I bothered. Oh yeah, because I love my country.

I called my congressman's office. Made a prepared, impassioned plea about doing something about what trump said yesterday.

The response was, "we put up a statement on the Congressman's website." Me: That's it? Can you not censure him? Do something to undo the promotion of nazis and white supremacists?" And then they hung up. Fuckers.

Good response. I probably would have said, "Well, never let it be said that (Congressman's name) didn't do the least he could do, because that statement is, indeed, the very least he could have done."
