General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI love this memorial. Heather was clearly a fierce young woman.
Again and again they are speaking of here lifelong feistiness, her spirit, her passion and desire to push for fairness and justice. She's not being depicted as a sweet, compliant flower or someone who backed down for friends, enemies, anyone who treated others unfairly.
I'd have liked her and I might have fought her and I'd damn well have respected her.
I do. Cross easy, you warrior.

(41,963 posts)She was obviously one of those little soldiers who did had job well, treated others with dignity and helped them during times of need. It's not that she's so otherworldly; she's just a human. A good one. And those who love her are the same. Just people. Good people.

(63,852 posts)and her mom will make sure her memory and her fight will continue on. Heartbreaking situation.
Heartstrings
(7,349 posts)Did you mean to say "fought with her" instead of "fought her"? Big difference, with no disrespect intended....

(41,963 posts)Heck, a good adversary is a great thing when you know you love them. If we could fight productively we might not be in this mess. Of course I have my limits, but I like engaging people I disagree with.
Her mother is saying much the same right now. I like her too.

(10,014 posts)Besides being inaccurate, calling her a 'young woman' implies she is not an adult or not mature.

RIP Heather.
