But somehow he has decided that isn't news.

So no, David Gregory does not report the "news". He reports things that he (or his corporate puppet masters) decide we should know about.

But I agree he shouldn't be fired. He should be arrested and tried for gross incompetency and spinelessness.

he's says the attack is a deflection from the bad jobs numbers. that is not reporting. that is opinion.
