I don't think it's because Trump is considering stepping away, but they need to figure out how the hell they're going to deal with a very much self-inflicted crisis.

The Philippines is a big wild card nowadays. Could it have something to do with the current China-India dispute? North Korea is not in South Asia but if 45 and company read maps as well as they govern, then it could be the topic.

Personally, I think they are wanting to do some damage control away from the public or they are prepping for something Mueller-related.
