RUMOR AND SPECULATION!!! Just thinking through some things.

Why was trump at trump tower yesterday? He said it was to speak about a China trade deal.

What if it was so that he could be served papers or a subpoena? trump would never want to be served in the White House or even his golf club. At some high levels, those serving will give the served a heads up.

That might explain why he was at his most livid that we've seen him (and that says a lot).

Why is Pence returning early from a huge international trip to go to an emergency meeting at Camp David?

Might this be the "Mr President, it's time" moment?

He was livid cause he was wanting to talk infrastructure, and too many people were bad-mouthing him about Charlotteville. He doesn't like being questioned, and no one paying attention to his agenda.

Besides, its trump - think he would care about getting served at the WH?

ETA: Re: Pence? He is looking towards his future, as things aint going well for his boss.

for one - to bill the government for all the rump facilities used to protects him, have meetings etc. I also think he was trying to influence the outcome of lease negotiations with the Secret Service at rump tower.
