How does a person Trump's age harbor such beliefs?

He's so much closer to WWII generation than the demographics that I think define these alt-right types...

How could anyone who grew up so close to the cultural effect of WWII be so dismissive?

That's not to say hate isn't ageless...

When he was in Europe over Memorial Day weekend - trashing NATO - part of the fruit of WWII peacemaking and what so many guys died for...no mention of Normandy/D-Day...memorial day!

He loves the Nuke war component of WWII - quick and dirty gets it done...but discounts the kind of action that took down Nazi Germany...guess we're beginning to understand why...this isn't mere ignorance...

Trump is just a rich James Alex Fields Jr.

Which may explain his lack of a gut wrenching emotional reaction to people waving Swastika flags. I know that there isn't a member in my family who isn't absolutely outraged by that disgusting display.

Not a single person in Trump's family ever served in the military. That was intentional. A pox on them all.

Too stupid to know history I guess. Nazi flags and uniforms appeal to them, but what really appeals to them is the white, master race ideology of the Nazis, which of course is stupid. I mean who won the war?

And wtf are they protesting about, society is tailor made for straight, white males — all the advantages are there for them.

I mean those smart enough to realize it and who don't get caught up in going to racist, anti-Semitic, violent protests where their photos are taken and uploaded to the internet for all to see forever.

talking about blocking those kind of people from the housing you own.

His father profited off the war by building housing but he did not serve in any armed force. It would be easy for his offspring to admire the Nazis because no one in their family fought them.

before Pearl Harbor, including celebrities like Charles Lindberg and industrialists like Henry Ford who were quite open about it. I suspect Trump's father was one of those.
