Berkeley white supremacist electrician out of a job after Virginia rally

A Berkeley man who was scheduled to speak at last weekend’s white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., has become the second Bay Area resident to lose his job as a result of his connection to the violence-marred event.

John Ramondetta, known as Johnny Monoxide on white supremacist and neo-Nazi social media sites, was a union electrician working in the Bay Area on a project for Rosendin Electric, a national outfit. On Wednesday, a company spokeswoman said he was “no longer employed” at the job site.

The spokeswoman, Salina Brown, declined to say whether Ramondetta had quit or been fired.

Local 6. The union probably needs to do this so that the company can't site their inaction in future terminations. It's obvious neither the union or the employer do not support racists.

I was one of the "go-to" stewards for terminations. The company most likely has an unacceptable behavior section in their employee manual. These rarely if ever are included in union contracts. Most contracts specify "just cause" termination if any at all. So some poor steward will have to file the papers and try to make this jerk whole.

I was a member of IBEW briefly in the late 70's. I was a shop steward in the 90's. In between those jobs I held a few management positions in a couple of companies. That's how I became a "go-to". I'm pretty sure the guys at the local would all like to say "We'll help you fill our your unemployment papers" and leave it at that.

I'm even more certain the snarky, sarcastic remarks being made about this cretin in the company and union offices are identical.

white supremacist gangs. Do they not understand that in openly flaunting their horrid racist beliefs there are real world consequences that will seriously bite them?
