DEBATE TACTIC THAT WORKS: Regarding Charlottesville just say the Nazis started the fights and ..

... and you're not going to defend the Nazis.

That basically ends the conversation in regards of "violence" because the person on the other end has to argue in favor of Nazis.

I've tried it a couple of times on mixed forums and it shuts down conversations about Red Dons defense of the terrorist but for a few people who are openly racist.

Are you agreeing with Nazis?
A simple Yes/No question.
If the answer is Yes find a mirror, stare yourself directly in the eye, and say 10 times "I'm agreeing with Nazis".

This covers justifying them, creating a diversion for them, giving them cover, any form of support or complaining about other groups.
