Where was all of the outrage when US soldiers and Iraqi forces/citizens toppled statues of Saddam

Hussein? I guarantee the people sooooo upset about removing Confederate statues in the US were on their feet cheering when Saddam's statue came down. Wasn't that the perfect thing to leave in place so the people of Iraq would always remember their "history"?????? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Joe Paterno's statue was removed as well

National Review mentioned that a statue of Lenin is on public land in Seattle. It is actually a subject of comedy and derision. It was a funny analogy to make. It is not placed in a position of prominence.

A glowing Soviet-style red star or Christmas lights have been added to the statue during the holiday season since 2004.[5][19] For the 2004 Solstice Parade, the statue was made to look like John Lennon. During Gay Pride Week, the statue is dressed in drag.[5]
