on being violent, which is why I clicked on this article. But the person who's tweeing is merely @ing the ACLU to call attention to the video.

Chest-puffing certainly was on the agenda, which alone is a kind of incitement. Some were along for the thrill of threatening action, for the rush of feeling strong by marching alongside others. Many were cowards who needed to be pushed and hoodwinked into a fight. There's a critical mass of violent troublemakers, and if this demonstration barely crossed that threshold, I'm more worried about the next. Is the movement emboldened, or has there been a net chastening that's resulting in later gatherings being canceled?

The movement has leaders who are no doubt planning to capitalize as much as possible on the rage. Are they desperate enough for some stupid suicide bombing, or are they deciding to de-escalate and play a longer game?

white nationalism/white supremacy, Nazis, the Klan - and all the rest of Trump's "very fine people".

The idea that racism can be peaceful, regardless what self-identifying label it gives itself, is ludicrous.

Of course they didn't plan on a peaceful demonstration!

What the fuck is peaceful about "gassing some Jews"? What the fuck is peaceful about lynching African-Americans?

These weren't some choir-boys only wanting to be heard.

These are people who embrace an ideology of oppression and other violence.

Oppression is a violent act.

The most credible info from people I know personally here in Charlottesville are:

The alt-right agreed to a plan, mainly about separations and areas. From the get go they didn't follow it.

The alt-right refused to use the safe corridor into the back of the park and forced their way through the counter protesters.

Groups of the alt-right would leave the park, circle around and go through the counter protesters. These trips appeared to be for the purpose of creating confrontation with the counter protesters.

A militia man (one of the ones in camo) was ranting about how the alt-right wanted them to attack the counter protesters. They refused to circle through the counter protesters with the alt-right.

Now I'll view the link and see how these stack up.

I don't believe this video proves incitement intent. It certainly proves they are pathetic idiots.
