Charlottesville and our concern about a future filled with Charlottesville type events

is why many of us continue to favor 'identity' politics over economic politics.

Saying that jobs or wages or any other economic goal is equally important to the rights of minorities, women, handicapped, children, immigrants, LGBT, or any other at risk population to live safely without threat of harm or discrimination will never win my vote.

First we must care for those who most need our protection, then we can care about ourselves and our wallets.

Division makes us all weaker and more easily exploited by the greedy rich.
