I have no doubt they help push Breitbart-fabricated stories along every single day and put them in chain emails, but they don't know who is behind it, and in fact, it makes it easier to push these kinds of stories along when you can't attach a face to them (Especially Bannon's face); nobody to discredit, ambiguous sourcing, it "can't be biased" if there is nobody to be biased for or against, etc.

Now if Bannon and company turned against Trump, that would be popcorn-worthy.

Now Bannon can rile up the KKK and Nazis without Trump having to account for him. This is what in pro wrestling is called a "work", where two people pretend to hate each other so that the crowd buys into the story line.

Anyone left in Trumps base is so disconnected from reality that they will rationalize anything no matter how bad they must twist the thinking.

Trump could have Bannon executed ISIS style and they would cheer about how he's so great for doing it.

He wasn't kidding. He could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and they'd stick with him. Hell, he could shoot all of their grandmothers while holding baskets of puppies and kittens, and they'd still have his back. They are some seriously f00ked up individuals.

before he joined the Trump campaign. It's Trump who stands at rallies and spreads the hate. It's not about policy details; it's about the feeling that someone will lead them to revenge. Bannon may have been the one cunning enough to make it all work, so there may be even more disasters now he's gone. But the base are in love, and nothing will shift that.

Any pro-Trump blogger, writer or broadcaster won't care that Bannon's gone either; to them, he was a rival for Trump's attention and approval.
