Paid 2.99 in Iowa, 3.35 here on Thursday.

I think we have seen a leveling off, there will be spikes.

I live in Iowa & the lowest I've seen was $3.25. It's gone back up since then.

Much lower than they were this time four years ago (summer driving season), much higher than they were when Bush left office.

Presidents have little to nothing to do with gas prices, good or bad.

Bush had nothing to do with the higher gas prices then, he had nothing to do with the lower gas prices later that year, and President Obama has nothing to do with the lower gas prices now.

When the point they're trying to make is moot, who cares what they remember?

republicans that continue to bring up the subject of high gas and the need to drill baby drill.

I agree with you the president doesn't have anything to do with global oil prices!

Granted, they aren't nearly as violent - if you don't consider getting ripped off violent.
There is no reason at all for the sharp rise in gas pump prices the last week - approximately 10% in my neck of the woods.
Remember when the barrel price was dropping, how long it took for the pump price to reflect that?

Look, they can charge - and do - whatever the hell they want. We'll pay and go away quietly.

Not being in the Midwest, Brent is more relevant to what your refineries are paying.
