Although the pages edit history shows the Trump entry was removed by early Wednesday morning, it lives on in a screengrab.
The entry, which added Trump as the second Confederate president after Jefferson Davis, listed Trumps term of office from Aug. 15, 2017 to the present. It also included a fake link to the Confederate States of the Accidental Election, 2017. Trumps previous office was written as Never Served in Public Office from Nowhere.

(11,175 posts)Yeah, really hilarious. And when right-wing adolescents make similar edits, that's also hilarious, right? Oh, it isn't? And the solution is that our side should step up our vandalizing of Wikipedia?
OK, I know a lot of people have already stopped reading because they write me off as a curmudgeon with no sense of humor. I don't care. Here are the facts: With increasing media consolidation, just a handful of giant, for-profit corporations control a huge percentage of available information. They don't exist to serve the public; they exist to serve up eyeballs and eardrums to advertisers, mainly other giant, for-profit corporations.
Meanwhile, at Wikipedia, thousands of unpaid volunteers are trying to make all human knowledge available to everyone in the world, for free. Wikipedia charges no subscription fees, no per-view fees, and no membership fees. It accepts no advertising. That means it doesn't have to kowtow to the 1% or to their hirelings in public office or to anyone else.
But, hey, if you're in love with the corporate media, then you might as well vandalize Wikipedia, or give the vandals positive reinforcement by treating them as geniuses or brilliant satirists. The Koch brothers thank you for your support.
